I visited Astoria Park yesterday afternoon to find the plastic sheeting obstruction still in the nest. It seems to have moved around the perimeter of the nest and is now lodged on both sides. It appears that it is not obstructing the bowl part of the nest where the eggs may be laid. Andromeda spent more than 20 minutes in the nest, making some adjustments and standing around the edge examining the inside. The plastic didn't seem to bother her. Hopefully she will lay eggs soon and a new cycle will begin for the hawks of Astoria Park.
