Fine Day In Jamaica Bay

These pictures are from a visit I made to Jamaica Bay in late July. I went to see if the Osprey had fledged their nests and see what other birds I could recognize while their. Jamaica Bay is a great place to visit for bird lovers as you can find an wonderful array of birds (Songbirds, Raptors, and Waterfowl). I also spotted a few reptiles (Eastern Box Turtle, Diamondback Terrapin, Black Racer, and Eastern Garter Snake).

1: Osprey parent flies over the nest to guard her to fledglings

2: Male Eastern Box Turtle

3: Diamondback Terrapin burying her eggs in the sand

4: Osprey flying over the nest area

5: Black Racer sunning itself on some rocks
