These pictures are from a visit I made to Jamaica Bay in late July. I went to see if the Osprey had fledged their nests and see what other birds I could recognize while their. Jamaica Bay is a great place to visit for bird lovers as you can find an wonderful array of birds (Songbirds, Raptors, and Waterfowl). I also spotted a few reptiles (Eastern Box Turtle, Diamondback Terrapin, Black Racer, and Eastern Garter Snake).
Osprey parent flies over the nest to guard her to fledglings
 Male Eastern Box Turtle
Diamondback Terrapin burying her eggs in the sand
Osprey flying over the nest area
Black Racer sunning itself on some rocks
