I visited the North Fork of Long Island today with my brother to check out some local wineries and scenery. I had never been there before and wasn't sure what to expect for raptor photography. I managed to spot an RTH and a Merlin, but the stars of the day were the Osprey. Within a 15 mile stretch of road we spotted at least two dozen Osprey nests. The majority of the nests are located on man-made platforms, but some are on man-made structures as well.
